Teddy lingerie is a revealing style of one-piece intimate attire, similar in shape to a one-piece bathing suit. They are often at least somewhat sheer. This style originated in the 1950’s. A teddy is similar to a romper or bodysuit, though is considered the sexier style. Teddies are even occasionally called bodysuits. The former is what you’d wear in the bedroom, while a bodysuit can be worn as part of everyday fashion.
